Radiant Cooling Benefits

Energy Efficiency; A radiant cooling system can help dramatically reduce the energy
consumption of a building through lower transport energy usage, more efficient
operating modes, higher room setpoints, and lower transmission losses.

Over the past decade, the number of radiant cooling systems designed, installed and commissioned in North America has increased dramatically.

Radiant cooling systems are gaining exposure and popularity for a variety of reasons:

1. Energy Efficiency: Radiant cooling systems consume less energy than traditional air conditioning systems because they rely on cooler surfaces to remove heat rather than cooling the air. This results in lower energy bills and a reduced carbon footprint.

2. Comfort:
Radiant cooling systems can provide a more even and consistent cooling effect throughout a room, without the air drafts or temperature fluctuations associated with air conditioning systems

3. Quiet Operation: Radiant cooling systems are typically quieter than traditional air conditioning systems, as they don't require fans or other noisy components to operate.

4. Easy Maintenance: radiant cooling systems typically require less frequent and less extensive maintenance than traditional air conditioning systems.

What is LEED®?

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system established by the United States Green Building Council to grade the sustainability of a building. There are many ways to achieve points in the LEED rating system. Based on the total number of points achieved, a project can earn the distinction of LEED Certified Silver, Gold or Platinum. One of the key ways to earn points is by maximizing the energy efficiency of the building by incorporating lower energy-consuming systems, such as radiant cooling.
